On Sunday, August 4th from 9am-2pm, join us on a walking tour to experience the magical transformation that has built water resilience across neighboring properties, Tabula Rasa Farms & Whispering Oaks, over the past several years! From pig wallows, to planting terraces, to swimming ponds, this tour will take you on a journey across property boundaries, showcasing the interconnectedness of farm, woodlands, and water management. As we walk across the farm, we will discuss the issues that these neighbors face, and the strategies and earthworks that were implemented to overcome these issues.
Zach Weiss of Elemental Ecosystems and Water Stories, along with Brenda Smola-Foti of Tabula Rasa Farms and Lynda Mueller of Whispering Oaks, will guide you through groundbreaking work in Water Cycle Restoration. Come learn how these practices have mitigated flooding, improved grazing, nurtured biodiversity, and transformed the landscape for the betterment of the humans and animals who call it home.
After walking across the Tabula Rasa Farms to the final pond site, located on Whispering Oaks, participants will be served an incredible farm to table lunch, courtesy of Humble Spirit.
